Exp, quests & levelcap

Just like the topic on items and droprates, lets have a serious topic about leveling and exp.

Levelcap makes a huge difference on how we feel about this, so I'll divide the points into 2 different sections in regards to that.
These are just some thoughts that came to mind, nothing definitive here, just a starting point to conversation.

One thing I don't personally like no matter what the level cap, is the avg level balancer. It's an arbitrary thing that punishes the dedicated.
I understand the goal is server longetivity, but instead of punishing the dedicated, you should consider fine-tuning the exp gain&requirements and helping the casuals.
Maybe instead of repeatable quests you put daily quests with high rewards to let casuals slowly catch on or something.
You can also add something that helps late beginners and casuals later on. Like boosting exp rate when level cap goes up or boosting the exp from quests later etc.
Im just going to be tossing ideas around because what we got so far from admins is "easy to level, with elements of hard farm & most casual friendly".

Level 70 cap:

The quests are too rewarding if they are as they are, low killcount and high exp.
If the avg level kicks in, you can still push to 70 fast with the quests.
I didn't have time and people to check, but if there are repeatable kill quests in Eslant you can still push on to lvl 70 pretty easily with the "nerf".
Maybe switch repeatable quests to daily and even improve the rewards if you want people to get to the max lvl slower and more casually.
If my calculations are right, you can get level 67-70 approximately just by returning eslant & cz high exp quests.

Level 80 cap:

The quests are not that big of a deal anymore. Exp required vs the rewards is balanced out alot.
Ko is competitive and the exping part is pretty brutal. No matter how you try to slow the progression,
there are going to be people who push to the max no matter how, to get the edge on others.
But keep in mind, even if you want to make it "casual friendly" you shouldn't do this by just shitting on the dedicated.
Those dedicated people keep the server going strong, not casuals. No matter how many (borrowing the term from a friend here) "Hyde-campers" you got on the server,
it's not going to work if the competitive people skip the server because the progress of the dedicated is nerfed.

Indeed the avg level balancer should be just tossed. Even if you balance the levels, > dedicated people will still get ahead by farming gear or doing something else. There is no stopping the dedicated players but you definitely shouldn't be trying to slow them down with arbitrary stuff like this?

Later on you can anyway add some catch up mechanics for the new players or the casual players. Rental items, or even adding the troll items (Hopefully those were removed for now), or daily quests with bit better rewards than currently.

Bottom line, in competitive environment like this, you definitely shouldn't try to force "fastest" players to move in the pace of the "slowest", kinda ok idea but it just doesn't work.

Why would anyone want troll set to be ''removed'' it just makes no sense.

I'm personally kinda neutral on this and alot of other features. I can adjust my gameplay accordingly, but I can assume many people being against a good armor set with resists available "for free". Having to farm those early +5 chitins etc. drastically change how the early game is played.

I see your point but I don't think troll set is one of those super factors that will effect the game. On the contrary, they will be good for those who does not have much time to farm and upgrade chitins and anyone who does not want troll set can go farm and upgrade whatever they want so in my opinion having them is not that bad.
