Razordagawd
The expiration date renders both of this items untradable. Why do they need to expire, if they're gonna be untradable again? Not everyone has something to upgrade right after every successful event outcome. People would still need a source of tears / trinas with the untradable change. If the untradable part is staying (zero reason to), can you at least make the time gap more lenient? 24 hours? How about 48 or a week? Administrators twostars Posted April 2, 2018 Administrators Share Posted April 2, 2018 The one thing I can say regarding this is that expiration items are untradeable by design, and we have no intention of removing their expiration time. Regarding their duration, I'll leave that with @Vivaldi & @Aesteris
Razordagawd
Wouldn't tears being untradable already fulfill what you lot are trying to accomplish? Untradable tears might force people to do more events like Chaos as a result, something that right now is counterproductive (why bother getting more tears if they're all going to expire?) This is just an unnecessary hassle for players. If people need more tears, they will PUS them, non-tradable is enough to severely decrease the amount in the market, forcing players to do this (or enter more events). Administrators twostars Posted April 2, 2018 Administrators Share Posted April 2, 2018 It's a limitation of the game. Creating another untradeable version of these items means unnecessarily duplicating a ton of upgrade entries for this to be usable. Giving it an expiration time keeps the same ID but forces it to be untradeable and ultimately reduces the number of them in-game. With the immense amount of KC floating around in-game, it reached the point where there's literally no reason to ever buy any from the Power-Up Store (and drain KC) -- there were just so many from events that had built up. As for why it's 24 hours specifically, that's all @Aesteris. I have no idea.

Razordagawd
Of course brook with the unpopular opinion. Anyway, I didn't imply that there was a need to have a whole new item ID. More like since the expiration date already does what you guys want it to (make them untradable), it seems overkill to also add such a strict time limitation on top of it. A week sounds better yes? Administrators Aesteris Posted April 2, 2018 Administrators Share Posted April 2, 2018 I don't see a need to increase it any further, the 24h expiration time is there so you're forced to use it, or forego getting it altogether. No, I was just explaining half of the reason for it. Items in KO with different properties need to be entirely new items (i.e. with new IDs) otherwise. Which isn't really feasible when it comes to anything upgrade-related, since it inadvertently means generating a whole bunch of new data (unless we added an intermediary mapping for this, but that's something we'll have to consider doing for later).
