Remove Holy Knight Armor from Game.

This armor has created too much chaos and tension in terms of variability and damage to the fragile balance between individual players capabilities of producing damage vs possessing significant defense.

USKO Server PlayGround enables Skill based pk because the damage capabilities are balanced with defense. (People possess +10 weapons/armors + red pot)

ApexKO - Lost this quality of PK due to the introduction of holy armors in a pre-mature stage (Anvil is locked at +11 reb for all items and UTC weapons are locked at +8) The major form of pk that takes place in Apexko is just Party vs Party pk and even that is losing value as players simply run in gangs and horde over kills based on who can ks who.

Now...what do you get when there are players with significantly higher AC than normal and overall LOW damage capabilities (Locked at 11 reb instead +10 (+21 reb) ) - > LOSS OF PLAYER BASE + POTENTIAL FOR SERVER GROWTH.

Surely, to combat this you guys thought of rewarding the top 4 players of each month with OP weapons to compensate for this loss. This is by all means a horrible idea. Here are two major reasons as to why.

1) the 1% the will have an opportunity for these weapons/armors are no lifers and old time players. New players have no chance of obtaining this and will be consequently shunned from playing in this server due to the significant disadvantage let alone farm gold coins in bowl. Surely, gear dispenser provides decent items but it is not enough to compete against players who have holy knight armors.

2) Over time and this will happen, people will make holy armor +9s (11 reb). This will come to a point where since the damage capacity is so low (locked at 11 reb), players will no longer die with debuffs to 1-2 players damages. It will take FULL PARTIES to kill just 1 player with such gear. As many have seen the phenomenon time and time again after csw wins. The players awarded holy +11 rebs require atleast 1-2 full parties to take down in a PvP scenario.

 

@Aesteris. @twostars @Vivaldi.  I urge you, something HAS to be done about this. Either increase anvil rates to +21 REB for all items and weapons (Keep krowaz locked at +11 reb and Holy armor locked at +5 reb) or add red pot, remove holy armors from the game and increase utc selfname weapon upgrade to +11 reb as a START.

 

I speak for preserving the longevity of this server.

Couldn't agree with u more but that part with 1-2 damages never happend in apexko the day sins&warriors got nerfed which was already back in start 2016. Well 2 hits still works if it comes to Divide on kurian.

No, the problem with these topics is they're "I suggest a thing" and then "OMG UR WRONG BUT X AND Y AND Z AND U SUCK AT THE GAME" x 100, and then we've gotten all we can out of the thread so there's no point in it remaining open so I close it. It's not because we're ignoring it or whatnot.

In the staff section we're maintaining a list of proposed changes that we're discussing; one of these already addresses this particular issue, so we'll probably be implementing that soon.
As for the rogue damage one (which I'm sure you're referencing with this comment), we don't have any immediate changes lined up for it (and yes, we've been keeping up with both threads -- your/Manhattan's changes were seen) but @Aesteris will be taking another look at damages soon to make the final decision if we're doing anything more with that.

May not look like it, but we are doing things.

i dont get the it indeed.What happens if the pk lasts longer.Do you wanna kill someone in a sec or get killed instantly? Whats the point then getting tped or healed or whatever? to whom concern about the damages or the holy armors.then lets skip the skills or hp calculating things just who hits the target first and does 10k damage wins then i assume you guys will be happy about being the fastes or whatever
