    Thank you for expressing your views - there is a difference between "blocking someone from passive farming" and having an acceptable rate promoting active game play rather than passive. Your views most likely don't represent the entirety of the server, and although "even USKO doesn't require rainworms" in USKO the golden rod vouchers are worthless for a reason (it's shit compared to mining). I do agree that we need to ensure other ways to farm these items are there available for everyone across multiple slots though - which is something we'll be going over for sure!

    I doubt you would enjoy that change; Let's pull some math into this disregarding the fact you need to repair :
     
    In an hour, 720 attempts are made to get an item from fishing.
    To be able to fish for an hour, considering the rate at which a rainworm "drops" from fishing, You need 654 rainworms.
    To get 654 rainworms, you need to mine in EMC / Luferson for anywhere between 2.6h to 6h (2.6h if you're using the golden mattock, 6h if you're not). To average this out "fairly" we'd take the average of the 2, as some people will be using a golden mattock and a golden fishing rod, whereas some will only have a golden fishing rod. This puts us at 4.3h, now looking lets see, what does this mean for the BUS drop rate from Fishing for example? Currently, you're getting ~36 BUS per hour (statistical average), disregarding repair trips. If we were to remove the rainworms, you'll be getting 36 / (4.3h + 1h) = 6.8 BUS per hour, again disregarding the trips to repair your rod. Let's take another item - the advanced leather for example. You're currently getting about 1.8 of those per hour, removing the rainworm requirement will put it at 0.34 per hour.
     
    I doubt a lot of people are willing to "take the hit" to the rate if we were to remove the rainworm requirement. Fishing isn't meant to get you to super shells, playing the game is (doing everything, or a large part of, everything we've got to offer).
     
    Now, to the issue of mining / fishing characters - there are actually measures in place (though currently disabled, as I want to see the "best scenario" for everyone during this beta) which nerf the mining and fishing rates by up to 3 times, depending on various (obv. non-disclosed) criteria of your character. So, by my calculations, and by keeping the criteria to these dynamic rate changes a secret, I expect someone to need at least 4 characters mining or fishing at the same time (all with the golden mattock / golden fishing rod) to be able to obtain the same rate as someone who is "legit" and just plays the game and uses mining / fishing as an activity to do when they don't have a lot of time on their hands.
     
    Lastly, "but what about macros" - in short, we can't block them from being used entirely, but we can make life hard on them, as a macro (not an actual cheat) can't determine (for example) the location of an NPC in the game. Did I hear anyone say "give us a patrolling inn hostess and sundries behind the fishing spot /mining spot"? Perhaps.

    As for the golden should only be a rate increase - it is just that - a rate increase. If anyone finds any discrepancy (though I don't see how) between the use of a normal one versus a golden one, let me know and I'll get it fixed asap

    Hello guys!
     
    Since the population dramatically dropped the last couple of days me and some friends (that's planning to make a fresh comeback to the server) wondering some things and I myself think ppl are afraid to play right now cuz they don't know whats gonna happen to the server and espacally spend money in pus, I'll be here to the end if that's how it's gonna be. But I think if we can just get some straight infomation on however you gonna keep the server alive as it is with no relaunch or something else then i'll pass that infomation around to get some old and newer players back to this server.
     
    fuck the haters, I love this server, appreciate all the work you've done since day one.

    Read the topic; as with every other suggestion topic.
     
    First off, just because someone suggests something does not mean we will go ahead and implement this the way it's been suggested, that's not to say some of your (and others') suggestions aren't good suggestions, but I just wanted to get that out of the way. Reasons we don't reply with "will be implemented in 2 months" is because anyone should know by now that ETAs will simply disappoint people when they can't be met, as such we never announce any ETAs for anything unless we've finished the work needed to meet that ETA.
     
    As for growing the server, we are planning something to regain attention / attract more players (no, it does not involve a relaunch...), the fact is I can't dedicate even 20% of what I used to be able to dedicate during the summer months, and it's taking its toll on things. Obviously, most of you are now thinking "Why not hire someone then?" - the answer is simple, no one will ever get their hands on anything we've made, server, database, or otherwise. There are no trustable people in the PSKO scene, people from the outside are a no-go for more reasons than I care to explain. In-game GM presence could be improved, however in-game GMs aren't able to help anyone aside from answering game/server-related questions, use the notice feature, and mute/ban characters. They simply do not have the power required, as again - there are no trustable people in the PSKO scene.
     
    I'm not a machine, I dedicate virtually all of my available spare time to try and do things needed for the server.

    Hello I am GetRekt and i wanted to help this server improve as i have put a lot of effort to play here and gather a couple of friends on this server.
    What i wanted to say is...
     
    Every of server staff are trying their best to listen to players moaning and cries everyday but we cant notice any improvements in server.
     
    The easiest way to improve server is doing the smallest things to make your players happy.
    For example people were really looking forward for Ardream because that would make us use chitins and lower grade garment.
     
    Everyone are going only for shards/raptors/hellbreakers/eagles eyes/shells and blablabla that's what we can only see on merchants
    *sometimes apex vouchers*
     
    Market is already being destroyed by people holding 200 gbs and more.
     
    By cutting fishing/mining u did well but u did not think about it well as a team.
    I think that you need to use more surveys and general type of topics with server players.
     
    Newcomer event is a pear in the ocean but still it doesn't help people find exp/farm parties as they need...that's not how you're gonna improve your online number.
     
    Ardream has nothing in it, totally...there's no players, there's no bosses, there's nothing we can do in there...It was just opened like that to make more space for people that are sitting in moradon setting merch, doing fishing, sometimes pk and events.
     
    First of all you should aim exping and farming parties to let them gain more then people that are sitting in bowl
    Did you know that selling 3 tails of shaulas u can get something over 15gbs ? easy obtainable when you're geared - BUT NOT WHEN YOU ARE NOT GEARED - and that will make newcomers thinks that they has no chances compared to people who already got +7/+8 items.
     
    Making colony zone makes server dying step by step - Id recommend any of the administrators visit eslant or lufferson castle exping spots.
     
    Remember that there are people who prefer PK and do not prefer it while exping. Both styles should be similar but exping while being able to die should be more rewarding.
     
    GMs are not trying to communicate with players, having fun with them in-game as they should be more sociable then any of player, making small events which gives almost nothing but fun playing with others.
     
    There's nothing you can do as solo player and its really hard to do something as duo party but fishing. People are fishing only because there's no spots for them to be attracted by.
     
    Skill items are really hard to get, its making people offer about 600milions to get lupus pendant which makes people avoid PVP/PK even more.
     
    My suggestion is to focus more on helping players get to the top and making them more fun-zones like exping farming, so they can join PK, higher grade events and so they can join our insanely great community in late-game plays raiding such a great bosses as Felankor as a server!
     
    My idea is:
     
    create custom collectables which can be dropped from different farm zones that would be working like chests/gems/frags (low/mid/high grade), that would push fishing/mining away to the worst farming style which can be used as a side farming when ure tired after work or bored after hours of killing monsters or pk.
     
    100 blue crystals - 1 exchange for high grade armors with low probabilty of unique or other useful item
    10 red crystals - 1 exchange for high grade weapons with medium probabilty of aids in the bag which kills your character mwahaha. (just a joke)
     
    make more events like "WE ARE ADDING BOSSES IN ARDREAM PREPARE YOURSELVES in 5-10 days"
    Random worm is travelling through moradon with ultra drop (any probability to drop bus , chests gems uniques) which would be really hard to kill for example with bare fists 1 dmg per hit.
    Thats just a random ideas of events that could be easily done to improve your server
     
    Make Eslant and Lufferson castle/Elmorad castle monsters drop more useful items and for example you can add a global chance for dropping items that drops from fishing so people would prefer to kill monsters instead of sitting in a place and struggling their nuts - making 1000 accs just to fish.
     
    Adding APEXKO Custom npcs in moradon just for event (bandicoot named Aesteris is raping npcs in moradon - PEOPLE PLEASE HELP , STAPH THAT MONSTER)
     
    Make Events that even lvl 1 character will be able to join!
     
    For now its everything from me cause I am going for a party soon but i would be gladly to hear opinions from others and for sure seeing some of the server staff joining the discussion (CAUSE U WERE PLAYERS AS WELL)

    To add onto that, it'll only be d3d9.dll which has gone missing (deleted by your anti-virus, probably) from the Apex KO folder - restoring it (and adding an exception for it) will fix the problem

    Hi everyone,
     
    We're hard at work fixing the last few remaining bugs and getting the database side of things ready.
    One of the things that's been particularly annoying is not knowing the name of the "supplies" that should spawn in Nereids Island (boat war map).
     
    If anyone has any information about what these supplies are called, please reply to this thread!
     
    For those of you that need a refresh on what they're supposed to do, killing them while losing the war rewards your nation with 50% of the point difference between El Morad and Karus.

    I know a few of you have created threads with the intention of just adding bugs to it as you come across them; please don't do this. They become very unmanageable quickly.
    Just create a new topic per issue, and we can deal with them accordingly.
    Existing issue lists are fine; you don't need to change them, but please don't add to them. It's getting to the point where they're very difficult to read through (for example, there was one issue list with 101 items in it. Ahh!).
    Just create a new topic for them and let the forum handle all the work of making issues easy to find. It makes all of our lives much easier.

    Thanks for your interest in Apex KO, we'll be inviting more alpha testers soon! The server is currently in test mode and will be for a while, we'd like to ensure everything is working as expected before launching (e.g. fix bugs, exp rates, drop rates, etc.)
