After discussing this with our team we have decided to give you a last warning about your behaviour. The very next time you do this again i will hapilly ban you permamently from our servers and forums. We do not have any room for people that use racism to offend people. I advice you to pick your words carefully the next time you decide to offend someone.

On top of that i advice you to read what Marshmallow wrote over and over again, i'm sure that if you manage to understand that that it will make your life alot easier.

Finally, you also will have to apologize to kiklop a.k.a TheNotorious for what you have said to him, if you do not do this the warning will turn into a punishment and you will be banned permamently.

Topic closed, i will be waiting for a message from kiklop about your apology.

Aesteris got a reaction from Smooth in Explaining the FPS cap
    Hey everyone,

Since patch 2078 we've introduced an FPS cap on the game.

Some of you think it's "completely pointless" and "you should remove it".

As I'll outline below, there are plenty of reasons the cap needs to be there and going forward, we will not be removing the cap until the underlying issues as to why it's needed are resolved (which are beyond our means at this point in time).

    1. Animation speed being either too fast or too slow due to fluctuating FPS
    2. Cooldown on skills being faster on high FPS machines (we're talking up to 33 milliseconds faster, which on minor with its 100ms cooldown, is 1/3rd!)
    3. Interpolation issues with movement; Ever fell through some stairs in Ronark Land or Juraid Mountain? Now you know why.
    4. Going over 1000 FPS completely screws with almost every kind of timing there is (it's a speedhack / animation hack / cooldown hack, except you don't need any tools for this to work at all - a strong desktop computer will do the trick)
    5. The Korean official servers have implemented it (presumably for similar reasons)

We have hopes for these issues to be resolved by the multi CPU support the Korean official servers have very recently introduced (but we haven't yet checked out, and most likely won't be introduced to the non-Korean servers for a while), as without resolving these, supporting multiple cores would most likely result in these issues becoming even bigger.

    Hope this clears things up!

Aesteris got a reaction from MrsD in [Guide] Manufacturing Draki's Pendants and Draki's Revenge activity
With the release of Draki's Revenge comes the release of Draki's Pendants! You'll be able to manufacture these at [Hepa Pupil] Shozin in Moradon.

All of the materials are obtainable exclusively through the "Old Draki's Supply Box" and "Superior Draki's Supply Box", these drop from ALL monsters inside the Draki's Revenge event (rate depends on the monster). These Supply Boxes are opened at the NPC [Trader] Moira.

To access the Draki's Revenge event, you need to enter through the Draki's Rift in El Morad Castle if you're human, or Luferson Castle if you're orc. Once inside you need to clear through multiple floors filled with monsters in a timed event. Average completion time is 12 minutes. Protip: If you're a priest or mage, you can use the [Attack] from the National Enchanter NPC that spawns occasionally inside this dungeon. It will boost your damage output significantly!

To start manufacturing a Draki's Pendant, you will first need an EMPTY Draki's Pendant.

Draki's Pendants have 3 levels of upgrades available to them, the first level is chosen by you depending on which of the 5 stat-specific jewels you use.

    First level upgrade:

This upgrade will determine which is the main stat that your Draki Pendant will have.
    Requirements:
1x Empty Draki Pendant. 1x Jewel of [Stat] (shown above, detailed right below) You can choose between :
Jewel of Strength (STR / HP bonus) Jewel of Dexterity (DEX / HP bonus) Jewel of Intelligence (INT / HP bonus) Jewel of Magic (MP / HP bonus) Jewel of Philosopher (INT / MP bonus) Executing the upgrade process will result in a Draki Pendant enhanced to a level that identified by a letter. S, A, B, C or D (S is the best, D is the worst). The outcome is random for every single of the 3 required upgrades.

After upgrading a Draki's Pendant to the first level, you can then upgrade it to level 2 by using the Jewel of Hardness.

    Second level upgrade:

This will add weapon defenses to the Pendant. The S variant will add 12 of every weapon defense to your Draki Pendant!
    Requirements:
1x Draki Pendant of [Stat name] S, A, B, C or D. 1x Jewel of Hardness (shown above) Note that this and the following upgrade are optional. If you got unlucky with a subpar Draki Pendant of Dexterity D, you don't need to spend a Jewel of Hardness on it.
After the process is complete, your Draki Pendant of [Stat] will have two letters next to its name. Example: Draki Pendant of Strength S.B

Finally, you can upgrade the pendant to level 3 by using the Jewel of Absorption.

    Third level upgrade:

This will add HP recovery to the Pendant.
    Requirements:
1x Draki Pendant of [Stat] upgraded to the second level (two letters) 1x Jewel of Absorption (shown above) This upgrade will determine the HP recover values that your Draki Pendant will have. S, being the best variant, can give up to 5 HP recovery on every hit against enemies! (For reference, Scorpion Scythe is one of the very few items that have HP recovery on hit).

That's all there is to Draki's Pendants, good luck manufacturing them!

    We've got a fair few ideas on how to rework the warrior AoE skills;

    1. We nerf their damage (which is what we'll go with at first, we'll need constructive feedback on the changes), the intent is to get it to a point where mages have a fighting chance when a warrior team runs into them to AoE them. (however brief that window of opportunity may be). You'll still be able to kill them with AoE, There's just no 1-shotting the party anymore - just like a warrior party will be healed up after a mage team novas them, a mage team will be able to be healed up after a warrior party decent AoEs into them.

    2. We change it so that only the closest X targets get hit, rather than anyone in range by the warrior AoE

    3. We let the AoE damage scale depending on how close the targets are to the targeted spot (where the 'hammer' hits)

    4. We implement diminishing returns on damage for stacking AoEs with multiple persons

Just some of the ideas, we'll go ahead and try out tweaks to the AoE damage live (as that's something we can do, the others will require a server restart). We'll need your input on the new values (post in the thread, let a GM in-game know, whatever else you've got to get your opinion to our attention), and whatever values we give them while changing them live does not mean we'll be keeping it that way; Just a 'in my opinion' thing will do.

Furthermore, anyone who can't keep their post clean (within reason) will be banned from the forums, you've been warned.

Right, let's get some facts down.

    1. The server does NOT allow under ANY circumstances a cast be completed as fast as his seemingly did in the video.
    2. A TBL does not have an on / off switch; It's either on all the time (and ALL of his heals would be as fast ALL of the time), or it's off.

I have no idea whether there was any party member near him at the time to throw him that heal, all I know is I can't see what's behind Karambit (e.g. who else except for LostQueTamo is there, as he has him targeted for most of the 'clip'), and I know that the server does not under any circumstance allow a cast that fast (it's encouraged to try it out yourself, because why take my word for it).

The clan bonus, is not a flat +20%, it's 20% of whatever the droprate is; e.g. If it were 10% drop rate, the clan bonus would make it a 12% drop rate (20% of 10% is 2%).

Aesteris got a reaction from Smooth in Our thoughts on improving the server (part 2)
    Hey guys,

    For those who don't know what's going on, read this post;

I'm glad the suggestions are being received rather well and the food for thought is more than I could've hoped for. I would like to point out that "going ahead and burning your items" at this point could do more harm than good for yourself.

A few things I gather from (most) replies, with some of my own thoughts :

    1. Increase farming rates (perhaps keep the percentage the same, but let the items drop at higher +'s, say +5 instead of +1)
Reason : Considering the starter gear is 'up there' but unupgradable and untradable, there needs to be something that'll let the players do something during "down time", such as work on their gear. Starting from (+1) will be tedious and unrewarding, increasing the grade at which the items drop will make it more attractive and liven up the farm spots around Ronark Land.

    2. Increase anvil rates (only slightly, up to +8)
Reason : Ties in with the above, seeing starter gear is 'up there', if the rates are low-ish (with the current drop rates, just changed grade at which it drops) and players are having a discouraging amount of time invested in trying to beat their starter gear only to see them not even get close. The slight increase should help in this regard a little (~5% increase to (+7), ~3% increase to (+8))

    3. Add 2000HP / 350AC scrolls to Sundries
Reason : Turks love this, we need turks.

    4. Change drop table on Chaos Stone (Replace old uniques with normal uniques, decrease drop rate)
Reason : The starter gear, again, is quite up there - but it's untradable and unupgradable. Decreasing the drop rate, and replacing them with normal uniques will make the Chaos Stone bosses more attractive for both new & old.

    5. Decrease Chaos Stone spawn time
Reason : Increase PK encounters, also allow solo players a chance at getting a normal unique (rather than it being completely dominated by clans / whoever rules CZ at the time)

    6. Decrease Isiloon spawn time (8h -> 4~6h?)
Reason : Increase PK encounters, seeing the starter gear won't feature the 'full blown' iron uniques, this will keep Isiloon a highly contested spawn.

    7. Change the starter gear to :
    - +8 reverse high-class weapons
    - +5 reverse Rosetta armors
    - +1 accessories (non-upgradable, non-tradable), starter belt (as mentioned before, with 20AC instead of 0), starter neck (as mentioned before)
Reason : The server is 4 months old by now, without a significant incentive for someone new (or a whole clan) to start and be able to compete right away, there is little to no point doing anything we've suggested. All of the items are untradable and unupgradable, with the intention to keep value to farming your own, as well as providing those that do join a 'route' to improving their gear.

    8. Rework event rewards, remove Apexis Chest from Sundries
    - Event rewards (new) Apexis Chest, drops include :
    1. chance for Krowaz armor (+1)
    2. higher chance for Rosetta Armor (+3)
    3. highest chance for Dragon Scale Armor (+6)
    4. higher chance for Hepa weapons (+6)
    5. chance for Exceptional Hepa weapons (+6)
    6. 5 of the high-tier Bifrost fragments
    7. 3 of the high-tier Juraid fragments
    8. 3 Green Treasure chests
Reason : Liven up the events, and provide a nice path for everyone to follow to get better gear.

    - Forgotten Temple rewards :
    1. 2 Blue Chests
    2. 1 New Apexis Chest

    - Border Defense War rewards :
    1. 2 New Apexis Chest

    - Chaos Rewards :
    1. 4 New Apexis Chest for #1
    2. 3 New Apexis Chest for #2
    3. 2 New Apexis Chest for #3
    4. 1 New Apexis Chest for top 60% (excluding 1, 2, 3)

    - Krowaz zone event :
    1. Time increased to 2 hours
    2. Slightly increased drop rates on Black Keys

    - Bifrost zone event :
    1. Increased drop rates for Fragments

    - Juraid Mountain event :
    1. 3 gems for winning (instead of 2)
    2. Increased drop rates on gems

    9. Increase boss' strength in Eslant, and increase their drop rate
Reason : Move the focus of obtaining normal uniques to Ronark Land (ties in with Chaos Stone changes)

Let us know what you all think about these changes!

Aesteris got a reaction from IIIAmJohnWick in Our thoughts on improving the server
    Hey everyone,

Please read the post in its entirety before commenting

As I'm sure many of you are aware, the current state of the server is rather critical, in terms of being able to keep providing you lot with a nice environment to play in.

    Here are some of our thoughts on the matter;

Realistically, it will be hard to attract new players coming to our server in its current state, newcomers are quite far behind, even with the rental gear we're providing to them and the increased EXP rates, as finding EXP parties is an issue. Combine that with some other servers launching (as well as our current players finding it rather stale at the moment, making 'switching' all that more attractive), and we've got ourselves a recipe for disaster.

We don't want that to happen, and will do whatever we think will help, and the community agrees on.

    On to what we think should be done;

The general idea here is that we want to reduce the 'barrier' newcomers are facing on being able to compete.

This translates to different starter gear, a higher starter level, as well as some incentives for joining clans.
Our main priority with all of this is not to devalue whatever you have gained up until now, but rather ensure the longevity and time that your valuable items and characters will be worth what they are.

Keeping that in mind, here are some of the changes we're proposing, and we're completely open to additional ideas or tweaks to them.

First off, we want to start players at a higher level than we currently do; Namely between 80 to 83 (though really, 83 is probably what we'll be going for). When something as trivial as EXPing becomes a problem for newcomers, it gets harder and harder to get them to stay. We'd also like to point out that rebirthing your characters permanently improves them, so there still is some room for everyone to improve (as well as having the option to increase the rebirth level cap, say if anyone were interested).

Secondly, gear. Currently, the starter gear lines the newcomers up to being an easy pick even if they weren't bothered by the hardships in obtaining EXP.
Having said that, we're proposing the following changes to the starter gear:
    (UNTRADABLE, UNUPGRADABLE) Dragon Scale / Mythril / Ron's / Trial armor (+8/15)
    (UNTRADABLE, UNUPGRADABLE) Exceptional weapon(s) (+8/80)
(UNTRADABLE, UNUPGRADABLE) Ring of Courage / Ring of Life / Shio Tears / Flame Ring / Imir Ring (+0)
(UNTRADABLE, UNUPGRADABLE) Rogue Earring, Warrior Earring, Cleric Earring, Mage Earring (+0)
(UNTRADABLE, UNUPGRADABLE) Starter Belt (which will have 70% of the Iron Belt weapon defences, with NO AC bonus)
(UNTRADABLE, UNUPGRADABLE) Starter Necklace (which will have 70% of the Iron Necklace weapon defences, with NO HP / STR bonus)

Furthermore, we want to add some incentives to join clans (or rather, to form them or be added to one) in the form of Clan bonuses.
Depending on how many players of your clan are online at the time, you will be receiving EXP, NP, and Drop Rate bonuses.

A big part of playing any MMO stands and falls with playing with friends, they are part of the fun and reason you play (this may not go for everyone, but I know it does for me). Incentivising this seems like a good step forward to expanding our community and getting new players involved.

On top of that, we want to be adding quests to Ronark Land, similar to the ones that are repeatable, however these will be one-off (or twice-off).
These quests will allow (new and old) to gather some diversity for their gear. They'll be rewarding untradable, upgradable uniques of your choice (limited to what we provide ofcourse, but think 2 quests between which you can choose Elf-Metal Earring / Silver Earring, similar ones for other slots).

Finally, for those that don't like to (or don't want to) farm, we'll be adding a NP -> Medal system, similar to the one official used to have. To not overpower those that are already at the top ranks of NP holders, this will be using your monthly contribution, rather than your overall contribution; Meaning you'll have to be active to be able to reap the rewards.

Change mining and fishing; We don't want this to be similar to the first iteration of mining / fishing, mind you - but we do want to make it feel worth doing as something when you don't have a lot of time. We're aware this will make people want to multiclient or otherwise cheat the system, however we could look into adding a monthly NP requirement to be able to mine using the new drop tables (or otherwise be 'stuck' to the old one). Possibly even letting it scale off of monthly NP, with a cap implemented of course. Further incentivising playing properly.

For all existing players who've played at least 20 hours in the past month (counted back from the day we implement these changes, once we do), will receive 14 days of Cospre items, Wings, Pathos Gloves, and a pet transformation scroll of their choice (the pet system is close to being released).

All in all, what will this achieve, Aesteris?
We have a great set of files, arguably the best one out there, and it'd be a shame to not do everything within our power (provided you support us doing so) to get the max potential out of them. As such, we have high hopes of being able to attract a crowd that's more interested in a PK server than a farm one with these changes. Although you guys have joined and stuck with us since launch, we really wish we could do better in terms of PK activity. We feel as if the proposed changes will retain the value of your characters and items as it is, and quite possibly improve it if we do get a bunch of new players to join.

This entire proposal stands and falls with the support of our community, and we hope to receive a LOT of feedback on this idea.
If it is not well received, we will not be going through with it and will look into other ways of making it fun for you again.

Please let everyone you know take 5 minutes of their time to read through this (even if they've already quit!), vote on the poll, and make a comment on things they feel should be considered, looked in to, tweaked, or outright removed.

I'd further like to add that I'm currently on the verge of starting my midterms, and although I'll be busy enough to try and not screw those up completely, I'll make sure I've done everything I can to make this server great again.

Thank you guys for your support thus far and have a great week(end)!

Aesteris got a reaction from HenkaN in IamJohnWick cheater/bug abuser
The bug you are referring to is one that has been in the game since forever; It's whats allowing you all to combo, animation cancelling. This used to provide an advantage in terms of movement speed back in pre-18xx, but has since been fixed and aside from it looking wierd, doesn't do anything for the user.

Closing this, thanks for the report though!

    Here are some of our thoughts on the matter;

    On to what we think should be done;
